Probably because they function so much like our own arms, there are so many uses that are dreamt up for booms and boom trucks. Boom trucks are used mostly to allow people to access and then work in places that would be impossible, dangerous, or expensive to get to by any other means; they also do have other uses. These applications highlight the versatility of the boom, but the boom does have other virtues.
Forestry trucks are specialized boom trucks, they often require longer articulated arms that can do some heavy lifting as well. Aside from allowing access to higher branches, the booms on forestry trucks are also used to hoist lumber onto the trucks. Utility companies that need to install telephone poles use boom trucks called digger derrick trucks to dig holes for the telephone poles. These trucks have powerful augers mounted on their booms. Some of these trucks can dig to well depth, and some have augers that will bore clean through solid rock. Both machines are particularly impressive to see in action.

oh no! i have a stutter what can i do? :/?
See,
Im a pretty shy person when im around other people. So, I get really nervous like bad eye contact and stuff but I know i can work on that. The only thing i don't know how to fix is my stuttering when I'm around other people. I mean its not like i have a disorder or disease or anything because when I am at home or around close friends my Speech is very clear and articulate but as soon as I'm around other people BOOM shyness, JUMBLED WORDS, bad eye contact, all that stuff and i don't have a clue how to stop this
