Biocompatible Root Canals Versus Non-Biocompatible Root Canals
Of late, tooth decay is one of the looming problems that are affecting many across the globe irrespective of age and ethnicity. Root Canal Treatment: the Fundamentals
Root canal treatment is the technique in which your dentist would remove the decayed pulp present in the apex of the damaged tooth. This procedure further involves the reshaping of the canal and replacing it with strengthening fillers.
Steps Involved

3. Your dentist would then create a dental dam that would help him in isolating the decayed tooth.

Possible Hazards
The most common couple of problems that are associated with this treatment is the issue of non-bio compatible materials being used as fillers. Yet another issue associated with this treatment is the possibility of contracting residual bacterial contamination after the surgery.
Biocompatible Treatment
This type of root canal treatment uses the bio-frequency technique and colloidal silver for destroying the bacteria, viruses, parasites, mold sand fungus present in teeth. Further, the main ingredients of the fillers used in this type of root canal treatment would constitute zinc oxide, calcium hydroxide and calcium oxide which are normally at alkaline pH. Sanum remedies that work as antibiotics without side effects are also used in this procedure.
Non-Biocompatible Treatment
This is the type of root canal treatment that is likely to spell trouble. It makes use of Clorox and hydrogen peroxide that are injurious to the tissues. It also makes use of medicaments like Gutta perch and Eugenol based cements. Gutta perch has cadmium which is toxic and Eugenol has an acidic pH on contrary to the surrounding tissues that have an alkaline pH. As such, this type of treatment is highly discouraged and is generally not recommended.
