The Nokia X6 will suite both first time smartphone users and die hard Nokia fans alike
Coming in three options; 8GB, 16GB or a 32GB flash drive, the Nokia X6 provides options before it has even left the shelf. The device has been kitted out with a digital camera, GPS and various messaging and online features. Nokia have also given the phone an FM radio receiver and the ability to communicate with other devices via either microUSB or Bluetooth.
Nokia's new touch screen smartphone has been made in multiple colour variations which vary in what size X6 you buy. The screen measures at 3.2 inches and utilises an nHD pixel resolution of 640 x 360 to produce over 16 million colours. Nokia have provided the screen with touch technology which allows you to interact with the interface with your fingertips.
Making the most of the Symbian S60 OS, the X6 runs quite smoothly. The user interface is easy to use and supplies its user with dedicated toolbars for widget based shortcuts and contact shortcuts. Nokia have re-enforced a number of the phones features with some Ovi applications, for instance, the GPS is supported by Ovi Maps and there is also an Ovi Chat client in the IM section.
The Nokia X6 is supported by both Wi Fi and 3G, and depends on them for speedy web access. The web browser is capable of saving bookmarks and the built-in accelerometer allows you to flip the web pages to landscape for widescreen browsing. All of your social networks are supported, Twitter and Facebook have there own dedicated app in the contacts bar where viewing your mates latest doings is possible.
Messaging is a key factor in the software design of a good smartphone; integrated support for various e-mail formats including Exchange and POP and IM clients like Gtalk and Yahoo! Chat come as standard while basic SMS, MMS and audio messaging is an obvious inclusion.
The 5MP digital camera is loaded with cool features which include LED flash, AF and some very classy Carl Zeiss optics which give your captured imagery some additional clarity. Shooting high resolution videos is a mainstream feature these days, while having the facilities to share your work is also of standard protocol. A secondary camera on the front allows users to take portrait photos and take part in video calls.
Nokia has loaded up the X6 with a pair of highly capable music and video players, both are calibrated to play a number of file typed in there respective fields while a TV out connection enables you to play to a larger audience. The video player is supported by some pretty cool image editing tools while a series of equaliser settings are in place for user to find the sound they want. A 3.5mm audio jack allows for headphones to be used while the handset itself has been fitted with 3D effect speakers for higher clarity sound.

This seems to be the reverse of what one would expect, as Carl Zeiss is a high-prestige name in optics and therefore one might expect those lenses to be used on the more expensive, more sophisticated models, like the Alpha A100 digital single-lens reflex.
Sony is used to use Carl Zeiss lenses in many camcorders.
Probably this is a reason why Sony uses Carl Zeiss in most of digital cameras.
Alpha A100 is the first Sony DSLR, and it's probably based (more or less) on Minolta design (year or so ago Minolta sold photo cameras business to Sony). Alpha A100 is fully compatible with Minolta lenses.
Same time there are Carl Zeiss lenses which could be used with A100.
