Palatal strap partial denture speech problem?
I have a patient missing his upper right premolars seeking an RPD .. The major connector design ordered by my senior instructer is the "palatal strap" .. The patient is philosophical with high expectations and I am afraid of speech problems to occur.
If that does happen is there anything I can do to minimize the effect of the MC without changing the whole design??
Also, I would appreciate it if anyone can recommend a dental forum for me.

You patient just may need to get used to the Palatal strap. Speech problems usually do occur at the beginning of wearing any RPD's or any denture. Just keep confidence in your patient and hopefully they will overlook any speech problems. The happier you keep them, the less problems you will have.
