Hid Conversion Kits: a Look at the Different Types
By now you probably know what a HID conversion kit is. It is a kit that allows you to make it so that you can use the HID headlights in your car, truck, motorcycle, or other vehicle instead of the usual halogen headlights. They were developed because despite how bright halogen headlights are compared to household headlights, they just aren’t bright enough for most people to effectively see the road at night. You also probably know what HID stands for, but just in case here is a reminder. HID stands for High Intensity Discharge.
Now you are probably looking into the different options you have for replacing your halogen headlights with HID headlights. First you need to look at what your needs are. You can get Hid conversion kits that allow only one beam, meaning you have either your high or your low beams, <a href="http://www.shophidkits.com/">HID conversion kits</a> that allow duel beam, which means that you can use both your high and your low beams, though that will be more expensive, and finally you have to know what vehicles it is for to be sure they are compatible, for instance there are kits for motorcycles and then kits for cars.

You don’t want to spend too much money on these great new HID headlights that will last your car most, if not all, of its lifetime only to realize that your car desperately needs to be replaced. If your car is brand new though, it would probably be recommended that you go with something a little more expensive and professionally installed so that it will work for you and your car for the years to come.

is there a conversion kit for my f250 from a long bed to short bed?
i am looking to purchase a regular cab f250 or f350 and i want a short bed...is there a conversion kit to do this or will this be a total fabrication thing. I am looking for a pro-street look with the 7.3 motor.
You have to cut 18" out of the frame to make it work for the short bed . I'v done it mine times on hotrods .
