dental appointments while pregnant
Hi, I have had my first midwife appointment to fill in all the forms and what not! but i think she forgot to give me a form that entitles me to free dental work while pregnant. it was just my luck that my back wisdom tooth has decided to grow a bit more and has pushed the one in front making some of the tooth come off so now have a very sharp bit sticking me in my gum and tongue!
whats the best course of action go to a dentist and show them my notes to prove that i am pregnant or call the midwife unit to see how fast they can get the form to me!!
and what would the dentist be able to do!!!!!!

There isn't a specific one for dental treatment, it is just the NHS free treatment card - pop into your GP's surgery as they keep the forms there, they also send the form off for you (I assume they get it signed by the Dr) takes a couple of weeks to get the card through.
Ring your dentist up and ask them what they require, it may be that you can just sign something to say you are eligible - when I have got free prescriptions I haven't show the card each time I just signed to say I was entitled to free treatment - it is probably the same with dentists.
