Fire Rated Doors-Saftey Comes First
The fire rated doors are those heavy doors that are made up of materials like any metal or gypsum. The main use of these doors is to hold back the smoke and to contain the fire. When the door is once installed properly, it will not combust for a specific time period when an average fire occurs. The time ratings may vary according to different ranges and some standard ratings may include the 20-90 minute doors. The use of fire rated doors may vary according to the place where it is to be installed. There are several buildings or remodeling place that may require these doors. They are usually installed in public buildings or in offices and other places like dormitories. Sometimes they may also be required to the residence, but this is a less common activity. The fire rated doors can be ineffective if they are not shutting down properly. If the door is not shut properly, then it can not hold back the smoke or contain fire at all.
