Illuminate takes card revelations to a whole new level, as the image of their card forms within the flame of the lighter you just borrowed. Want to document the image? I am in awe, this is amazing! I was pretty skeptical that this kind of effect could be done as easy as described. I picked one up yesterday and I am blown away! The hearts are just as clear as you see in the video! I was able to repeat the effect in moments after watching the DVD! And it uses two items I always carry with me when I go out, a lighter and my camera phone! You can also sub in a pen light if you are going to be somewhere fire isn't going to be allowed. I give it 4 out of 5 because it does require some setup, but once that's done it can be performed again and again! I love fire magic and this is going to make a good addition to my routines!
The DVD, as I said is very well taught. One of the first things Mike covers is the use of a camera for this effect, as the entire trick is dependent on the use of a camera that you'll supply. This means that yes, you need to gimmick your own camera, but don't worry the installation process or the gimmick won't hurt your camera in any way. Anyone who uses an I-phone will be delighted that this gimmick seems to love them. For the palm-pre users like myself, we're not so fortunate. As Mike covers in the DVD, Illuminate is picky about which camera's it will, and will not work for. The good news is if you are in the minority who don't have a camera that will accept the gimmick, then upgrading to a camera that does won't cost you much.

Mike covers everything from installation, to performance, and even goes a step further to discuss important subjects like audience management, and card forces (in case you don't have one you like already.) You get to see some great reactions to one or two real performances on the streets, as well as Mike's detailed instructions back in the studio. Given the simplicity of the effect, I'd say Mike really goes above and beyond with the extra thought he put into the product.

Sony Handycam with Infrared Night Vision?
I want to buy a Sony Handycam DCR-DVD650 but I've heard that its nighttime filming isn't very good. I want to film at night (in the dark) so I was wondering if this camera has some kind of infrared night vision? If not, is there some kind of external infrared illuminator I can buy for it later on?
PS: How could I install it? Also, it would be awesome if you know of any camcorders (Sony or otherwise) with built-in infrared nightvision. Thanks!
Sony Handycam DCR-DVD650 NOOOOOOOO!
For your own sake DO NOT GET A DVD camcorder, they have the lowest quality of all the cameras, so many people have problems with the disks.
A flash drive, camera would be great for you, have a look at any of the Sony range that will be in your price range. you are looking for a camera that will record in 0 LUX total darkness, the range on them is not great but good enough for most people. Personally Sony seem to have the best "Night Vision" have tried a few, If the camera already has it you can add another infrared Emitter.
Seriously though really think about not getting a DVD camcorder.
