Moisture analyzer helps in analysis of Precision Moisture content of the samples. It determines the level of moisture in both High Level and trace moisture contents in Solids, liquids or gases. is Chemiluminescence of ozone +NO affected by moisture content?
Hi i am working on a Horibe Mexa 1600D and i have a doubt regarding the NOX analyzer. It uses the Chemiluminescence method to calculate engine Nox emissions and i wanted to know if the Nox measured was wet or dry since we have a chiller unit. plus if moisture content affects Chemiluminescence is that why we have the chiller unit? Horiba was less than helpful in this matter that's why i am posting it here.
I'm not going to offer much help, but:
If you have a more-or-less constant NOx source, why don't you add "steam from a boiling teapot" (to add water), or pass the gas stream through freshly regenerated dessicant beads (to remove water), to see if / how they have an effect on your readings?
Note that some NOx does interact with water vapor, to form nitric acid.
Maybe ask in a chemistry or chemical engineering area?
